We've started a new "Twitter" newspaper called "Mayors Talk" -- highlighting the past week's Tweets from mayors from across the U.S.
A rapidly growing numbers of mayors are plunging into the world of social media, including Twitter. See what they have to say.
What does this mean for you?
Our weekly Mayors Talk online newspaper is very easy to scan. This Twitter-based newspaper uses a clever approach to formatting that makes this possible.
Why read this paper?
Because mayors are at the heart of decision-making in our cities. It can be revealing to see what issues are most on their mind, as reflected by what they're tweeting about. You'll also hear about ideas and programs that might make sense for your own city -- directly from the mayor's office.
Do I need to use Twitter to read this paper?
NO! Mayors Talk is available online. You can access it without needing to use Twitter. There's also no charge for the online paper.
This famous mayor used to read the comics ("funnies" in those days) to his constituents -- especially younger ones! --over the radio. As I'm sure many of you know, it's Fiorello LaGuardia, former mayor of New York City. While he's mainly known today for the airport named for him, we'll be speaking to you in his voice on occasion in our own Tweets -- which will also appear in Mayors Talk.
Some of the mayor's we're following (click on image below to pop it up at larger, more readable, size).
